Agullent is situated less than one hour from Valencia and Alicante. A sufficient distance to visit a village inside the lands, with its strong link with nature, its heritage and its traditions as the Night of Bonfires or the feast of the Moors and Christians (one week after Easter).
Situated at the feet of the Sierra of Agullent, the village is the starting point of numerous roads of excursions and an excellent place for resting or strolling with accommodation for any budget: a rural house, saint Vincent Ferrer's hermitage and a rural hotel placed in the former flour mill where there is a small museographic collection which can be visited.
The Spring of Patge, the Covalta or the Cave of Finestres are destinations for hiking which allow us to get closer to the Sierra of Mariola which is accessible from the town of Agres or Alfafara. Furthermore, from Saint Vicent Ferrer's hermitage we can start five signposted roads for mountain bike and ask information at the official center of information of the mountain bike’s roads network of the Valencian Region. Certain hiking trails and mountain bike’s roads are listed in the APP "Routes Agullent".
During the visit of the village it is essential to go up to the ice well, the hermitage, the washhouses and, naturally, to the park of the Jordana Fountain. It is also recommended to make a "tasting" of the local gastronomy, as the traditional charcuterie products, dishes of rice, the home-made and ecological beer Lluna Blanca of Agullent or the wine of the House of Vineyards.
At the end of the day, it is the moment to slowly breathe while enjoying the landscape that offer the houses of the historic center whereas the sun hides behind the Sierra of Benicadell caressing the roofs.
